The Calamus Reservoir, located six miles northwest of Burwell,
Nebraska, in the center of the state, covers some 5,127 surface acres at
full pool and is about 10 miles long, 1-1/2 miles wide at the widest point, and
has about 36 miles of shoreline.
A huge fishery stocked with blue gill, channel catfish, walleye, northern
pike, smallmouth and largemouth bass will provide some of the best fishing
in the Midwest.
Boat launch ramps are conveniently located around the lake and the Nunda
Shoals ramp is adjacent to Aggies Acres. A nearby Marina will service your needs.
